Prezi Creations

We're creating personal Prezi's. A Prezi is an on line application that you can post information, photos, and videos on for presentation purposes. Learn more about Presi's and how to make them here. Our presentations are about ourselves. We first made an outline in a Word document gathering information we wanted to include when we tell our classmates about ourselves. Grouping this information together makes for a better presentation, easier to view and comprehend.
We'll be sharing our Prezi's in the new year with our classmates!

Friday Fun

Today we explored the links over to the side that had to do with searching.  We started with Google a Day and then explored different search techniques including advanced google searches.  We talked about if sites were trustworthy and how some information is not to be trusted.  You have to check out the sources.  We went to snopes to check out the facts of some urban legends going around out there and finished the class period having fun with Stickman.  Where the message at the end of our drawing story was "Be Creative Every Day!"

Adobe Illustrator Posters

While exploring the clip art data base students are to pick out an image to illustrate a poster they created in Adobe Illustrator. Adobe Illustrator is an application that can be used to make graphic art. On Adobe Illustrator you can change fonts, colors, sizes and placement of words. The size of the paper is 11 x 8.5 and can be horizontal or vertical depending on the format of of your clip art and plan for adding the fonts to that. Here are some student examples:

Photo Booth and iPhoto

Lots of laughter came out of the Graphics Lab today when we experimented with Photo Booth. It's a program where we can take our photo using different effects and the built in camera on our computers. We learned to import those photos into our iPhoto program and then organize and manipulate the photos further. Here are a few of the images! What a group!
